4K 3D surgical display

This monitor faithfully reproduces stereoscopic images in 4K UHD resolution (3840 x 2160) at a high brightness of up to 450 cd/m², achieving both detail and depth for endoscopy and microsurgery.  

Enhanced sharpness  

EIZO's proprietary image sharpening technology Smart Resolution with Sparse Coding (S.R.S.C.) allows full HD images shot by conventional endoscopy and surgical cameras to be displayed in high definition 4K resolution without lag.  .

View large images in Full HD   

When inputting 4K UHD signal, even if an area of the screen is magnified using the zoom function, it is possible to display the area with a resolution equal to or higher than full HD.

Sharp color reproduction with wide color gamut   

Not only does the monitor faithfully display the sRGB color gamut, it can also produce images emulating the 4K video color standard BT.2020. It accurately displays BT.2020-compatible camera images, increasing the range of yellowish-green to red.

HDR compatibility   

HDR (High Dynamic Range) is a technology that can display colors naturally as seen by the human eye, that cannot be produced by conventional video. The EX3140 uses "PQ (Perceptual Quantization) method" and "HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) method" gamma settings for HDR use. Images from HDR compatible endoscope cameras can be displayed realistically without crushing blacks in dark areas.

Nicely framed

In consideration of safety, EIZO's surgical monitors adopt rounded corners. The front is covered with a fully flat protective glass that is dustproof and waterproof (monitor front: IP45, overall: IP32).

Hygienic design

The back panel is designed without ventilation openings so it protects the unit against moisture ingress when disinfecting it. Cable cover enables connections to be hidden away safely and tidily. The entire surface can be cleaned quickly using a moist cloth and disinfectant.

High durability

The protective glass used has a hardnes of more than 9H, making it difficult to scratch. Optical bonding improves the physical strength even more by injecting optoelastic resin into the air pocket between the LCD panel and external glass. Since there is no gap between the LCD panel and the external glass, damage to the LCD panel from dust and moisture can be prevented.

Consistent image reproduction

Panasonic guarantees an exact and detailed reproduction of image data, precisely as sent to the monitor by the camera or processor.

Condensation Prevention

When using a monitor in an environment where the temperature can fluctuate severely, condensation may appear in the air pocket between the LCD panel and protective glass. Using optical bonding, there is no air pocket, meaning that condensation does not form and visibility is not compromised.

Anti-fog for a clear view 

The supplied 3D polarizing glasses required to view images in 3D do not require batteries for operation and are lightweight. This makes them perfect for long surgeries where heavy, battery operated glasses may fail and become uncomfortable. Furthermore, the glasses have an anti-fog coating to prevent fog and maintain clear vision even when wearing a surgical mask.

Screen displays

Various 3D Signal Format Support: The monitor support Side by Side, Line by Line, Top/Bottom, and SIMUL 3D signal formats.

3D-mode - 180 Degree Rotation: Regardless of the orientation of the endoscopic camera, you can display the image in a direction that is easy to see.

3D-mode - Parallax Adjustment: With the parallax adjustment function, you can adjust 3D images both vertically and horizontally so that it displays a natural sense of depth.

2D-mode - Picture by Picture Support: Two separate signal sources can be viewed simultaneously on the one monitor screen side by side.

2D-mode - Adjust Screens Independently from Each Other: When displaying two signal sources side by side on the same screen, each image can be adjusted without interfering with the other screen. This is perfect for multi-modality use.

2D-mode - 180 Degree Rotation and Mirroring: Regardless of the orientation of the surgical camera, you can rotate or mirror the screen by 180 degrees to find the perfect operating view.

4K UHD connection with one cable   

With 12G-SDI (BNC), and DisplayPort 1.2 or HDMI, 4K UHD images are displayed at 60 frames per second with a single cable over various modalities. Also, the small AC adapter size aids in easy cable management. With the 12G-SDI (BNC) terminal, stable transmission is possible even over long distances of 30 meters.  

Safe connection   

Typically HDMI cables cannot be locked into a terminal but this monitor contains a specialized locking mechanism on its side specifically for HDMI. This ensures all cables can be locked onto the monitor for consistent and stable connection.
